My Grandparents are 94 and 91 years old and just Celebrated their 74th wedding Anniversary on May 11, 2025. They are the epitome of soulmate

"Dec. 29, 1950, we had our first date. When I went to Marys home to talk to her, she told me, she already had a date for that night. I told her to break it, because if she did not go with me, I would never ask her again, She knew I really meant that. She told me to break the date for her.I just informed the young man that came to pick her up, she was going with me. 4 months and 12 days later, we were married and still happy."
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?"74 years With the same woman. We have had a wonderful life. She never threatened to go back to mama and I never had to sleep on the couch. Yes we have had dis-agreements but never a knock down drag out fight. .We both know that God put us together. I never thought of going into ministry but now that has been over 65 years. 4 children, 9 grand children, about 22 great grands and 3 great, greats. Been a good life. Still have some to go also. Life that is."
