We would like to thank you for supporting Oski and Annette in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
It all started in kindergarten, we became a 'couple' back in 1998. Life took us on separate paths as Oski had to move out of our home country and we didn't see nor speak to each other for 12yrs. But we never forgot about each other. Social Media started and I (Annette) started looking for him, and I finally did in 2011! We never lost (virtual) contact since. And,in 2019, we decided to see each other again, in person, after 19yrs and it was an instant click! The Red String theory is REAL.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Oscar's 6th birthday party! He told his mom, they'd be no party, unless I was invited, and so, she had to drive around town, searching for Annette. Remember, this is back when there were no cellphones and no easy internet ways of contacting people, haha! She finally found my house and I got my invitation! I remember being so excited, buying his present (a wiggly eyed ball he loved and still remembers) and my mom still remembers seeing Oscar jumping around, excited, when I arrived to the party.
What would you do with $20,000?We didn't have a honeymoon as we married in 2020 and ended up buying our home instead. So, we would love to spend some of the money on a trip to Japan! That is our dream destination! We love travelling, EATING, and having adventures outdoors, and that's the reason why the rest would be spent on matching Jeeps for us to carry our bikes to explore new trails too!
