Connect How did your love story begin?

Our story began at an Irish pub in San Diego after mutual friends introduced us. We hit it off instantly, exchanged numbers, and never stopped talking. What started as a friendship quickly became something deeper. Six months later, we began a romantic relationship and, just one month after that, Zack secretly bought an engagement ring, patiently waiting until Vannessa was ready. We got engaged in May 2015, and every chapter since has only strengthened our love and commitment.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One of our favorite memories is our wedding day, not just because we said “I do,” but because it represented everything we had built together: friendship, trust, patience, and unwavering commitment. Standing there together, surrounded by love, we felt overwhelming gratitude for the journey that brought us there. It was a beautiful reminder that the best things in life are worth waiting for!

What would you do with $20,000?

We would use the $20,000 to invest in our future and create greater stability for our family. A portion would go toward our home and long-term financial goals, while another portion would help grow our family business and expand the impact we’re making in our community. Most importantly, it would give us the opportunity to build with intention, create lasting security, and continue serving others along the way.
