We’re an inter abled couple that loves life, adventure, but most importantly, each other. 💙
We would like to thank you for supporting Xavier & Kate in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We first met in 2018 when I moved to Colorado and ended up living near her family. Her dad gave me my first job and briefly introduced us, but we never really spoke after that. In 2025, we matched on a dating app and reconnected without realizing our past. On our first date we discovered we had already met years before. We planned to go to Main Event for dinner and games, but skipped the games and instead spent the night just talking, in awe of how life quietly brought us back together.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? Our favorite memory is our completely unplanned month-long road trip across the western U.S. We only planned to reach Oregon, but every day we asked, “Why stop now?” As an inter-abled couple, we overcame accessibility hurdles, dead wheelchair batteries, and plenty of detours, yet every challenge became part of the adventure. We learned our favorite destination is simply wherever we’re together.
What would you do with $20,000?Traveling is one of our favorite ways to make memories. We’d use the money for accessibility equipment and accommodations that remove barriers for us so we can keep exploring the world together. It’s not about taking bigger trips, it’s about making the adventures we love possible.
