Our love story began where all epic romances do: on a pickleball court. Jennifer asked if I knew any amazing single women for her husband’s incredible friend, Jeff. She thought I was married, so I said, “Plot twist — I’m single.” Cue her joyous scream and one double pickleball date. I almost canceled, assuming love wouldn’t be served that night. Thankfully, I showed up — and Jeff turned out to be my perfect match
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory is the night we got engaged — a true Vicki-and-Jeff classic. We’d met in January and were engaged by June, but first, naturally, I was lecturing him on proper dryer lint-trap cleaning. I turned to ask what he wanted for dinner, and he pulled out a ring box. I screamed, “Oh my God, wait, I’m going to pee my pants!” After a bathroom break, he opened the box, but I never let him ask — I grabbed the ring, cried, screamed yes, and loved him even more.
What would you do with $20,000?With $20K, Jeff the financial advisor would say, “Let’s invest in SpaceX.” Vicki would say, “Perfect — let’s launch ourselves straight to Greece and have our wedding.” Then again, maybe we compromise and invest in a designer purse. After all, who says Vicki can’t spot a high-performing asset? It may not pay dividends, but it definitely comes with excellent emotional returns.
