Our love story began with a simple phone call over 35 years ago. I called the gas station where Steve was working, and what started as a conversation turned into many long phone calls. Before we ever met in person, we had already fallen in love. Steve still tells people he fell in love with me over the phone—and the truth is, I fell in love with him too. One unexpected call changed our lives forever.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?While we've shared countless wonderful memories over the years, one of our favorites is adopting our dog, Vivian Dorothy, nearly two years ago. We fell in love with her the moment we read her rescue bio and saw her pictures online. She has filled our home with laughter, unconditional love, and endless joy. Her name means "lively" and "Gift of God," and she truly lives up to it every single day.
What would you do with $20,000?If we're blessed to win the $20,000, we would use it to help relocate our family to Austin, Texas, so we can be closer to our son. Family means everything to us, and living nearby would allow us to spend more time together, create lasting memories, and support one another through life's everyday moments.
