Which one? LOL Our first love story began with Mrs. Marlowe's algebra class, googly eyes, and me, subsequently failing algebra. He was an athlete and I was a cheerleader-fairly trite, but true nonetheless. Until I caught him with someone else on his lap! Our 2nd love story started on Facebook at 4am in 2023. I had decided I didn't hate him anymore (it only took 30 years), and we started chatting via Messenger. We have had a LOT of life between then and our engagement this February!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite collective memory is when we had our 1st face to face meeting in 30+ years! We spent 4 amazing days together, in an Air BNB in Georgia (where I was living at the time), reconnecting, reminiscing, and affirming our love for one another. To say it was magical is an understatement!
What would you do with $20,000?Well we have had a LOT of life happening! He asked me to marry him this February. I defended my dissertation and was conferred my Ph.D this June! I have a niece getting married in August and commencement next February! Did I mention that he set a date of March 2027? We would use that $20,000 to have the beautiful, intimate wedding that we have envisioned in Puerto Rico. As an educator and a 100% disabled Veteran, there's not a ton of extra money just laying around.
