We both chose the small town of Bon Aqua, Tennessee (a town few have actually heard of) before we ever met. Lindsay originating from Connecticut, Trevor from California, we still scratch our heads on how we met in the middle (only God). The day Trevor walked into the gas station and I saw him for the first time, my head went sideways as his blonde hair was not something I'd seen in my 5 years of Bon Aqua. I had to know, WHO WAS THIS GUY? He returned on a steel horse a week later....

The day Trev returned to the gas station, I was outside sweeping the parking lot (a very Italian thing to do) and taking the trash out. What Trev didn't know, that is my moment of grounding and peace. Trevor stopped and stared... I knew in the wildest way, I was seen. There was an unspoken understanding wrapped in humility, and it was also the moment where we both knew there was something incredible at work. Its the memory that defines who we are together today... to be fully seen and known.

If you can, look up Gas Boss in Bon Aqua, Tennessee. This gas station was once the number one drug pick up and drop off point for three counties. It is now a place where families gather, community is found...it is saturated in joy. Not only a gas station, there's an ice cream shop, bait and ammo shack and a stage where live music is played. Trev and I have plans to continue to build from what we hear from the people of Bon Aqua. If we won, we would invest into furthering this culture of joy.
