We met as kids dated all through college. Then we got married have 3 kids. We almost lost our marriage last year, but fought to rekindle it.
Help us share our love story in Variety, take home $20,000, and go on a triple date with Jeff & Emilie Goldblum and Charlie Day & Mary Elizabeth Ellis!
Brooke and I first met at Baskin Robbin’s through a mutual friend. It was almost instant. We went through some tough trials earlier on in our relationship with her being white and me being biracial (black/white). We never let anyone or anything stop us. It was definitely true love at first sight.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?I think our favorite memory was a trip to Kiawah Island for a friends wedding. Ironically enough after over a decade of marriage we had never been anywhere alone without our kids, and we made it one helluva trip. We got to just enjoy each other instead of what sport was next or what dance event was next.
What would you do with $20,000?I think with the $20k we would definitely make sure to take another memorable trip. We never got a honeymoon so that would be one way to make sure that happened. We’ve fought hard to save our marriage after almost losing it and we’ve realized that more time together with Christ at the center has been what’s made everything work.
