We went to high school together. He asked me out June 1983. He was THE quarterback everyone wanted to be with. I had something to do on a Saturday, and flippantly told my mom that if Steve Pate calls, tell him I might be available! Well, he DID! We dated 3 years. I might say he didn't do too badly either lol . We married 5/17/86. We just renewed our vows 6/8/26 after 40 yrs. ELVIS helped us renew our vows! It was great! Two of my favorite men lol. I love Steve more now than in 1983!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We act at a local theatre, Lamplight Theatre. Twice a year we do 3 weekends of a comedy show. Always different plots, but the same core characters I play Opal (Mama) Goodin and Steve plays my son Spoolie! We own the Goodin family funeral home, taxidermy, weddin chapel, and tannin beds! It's located in Foggy Valley, Tn. Real life, Steve's a pastor. We've got 2 wonderful grown kids and 2 awesome grandsons!
What would you do with $20,000?Pay off debt! Which would feel great for once in 40 yrs., but, People show up at our door sometimes and we help them. Mostly we help with Lamplight theatre, which has helped thousands of children thru the years to go to camp and given them food, school supplies, coats for winter, etc. Steve is on their board. lm on the board of our county help center which does the same thing. So much need. Both charities could use a portion of that money. Appalachia is in need Thanks guys
