She held our family together through every deployment. 20 years later, we’re still each other’s home. Our love story is still being written.

We met while I was home on leave for Christmas in ‘05, just before my 2nd deployment. We met on yahoo personals as I was wanting to find someone from home, and what started as a simple conversation quickly turned into something special. We met each other’s entire family (aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc). Even with a deployment ahead of me, we stayed in touch, built a strong relationship through the distance, and never looked back. We married on June 10, 2006, and have been together ever since.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?My favorite memory will always be watching her walk down the aisle on our wedding day. After months apart because of military service, seeing her in her dress, smiling at me, took my breath away. She looked absolutely radiant, and in that moment I knew I was marrying my best friend. Twenty years later, I still remember that feeling like it was yesterday.
What would you do with $20,000?We would use it to give my wife the mommy makeover she deserves. She carried and delivered our three children by C-section, sacrificing her body to build our family. After years of putting everyone else first, this would be a chance to give something back to her, restore her confidence, and thank her for everything she’s done for us.
