We laugh, do little things for each other, and every “I love you” means something different at that moment, all throughout the day.
We would like to thank you for supporting Topher and Heather in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We met at a retreat. I prayed “send me someone or take away this longing feeling.” Walking into the church for the retreat, I heard “someone special will come out of this weekend.” We talked a little during the weekend, but then continued the conversation the Monday after and haven’t stopped talking! Our first date was going to church together and then the next Sunday was Easter and he learned the song I was singing on his guitar so he could accompany me. I’ve waited 41 years for this!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?I always joked that it would be funny if I got engaged at a baseball game because I’m not all for sports. Topher arranged to have us throw out the first pitch at a Sioux Falls Canaries baseball game. Following the pitch and still on the pitching mound, he got down on one knee, poured his heart out and proposed. The big things, the little things, he is very thoughtful and clearly shows his love for me.
What would you do with $20,000?This money would help with buying our first house together. We would probably get a couple more matching tattoos as well :)
