Connect How did your love story begin?

Our story started 4 years ago in freshman English class, where we became best friends before we ever became a couple. We spent years laughing, making memories, and always showing up for each other. Then, on a camping trip on May 25th of our senior year, we finally admitted what had been there all along. That night felt like magic, sewing together our friendship and relationship like a tapestry. What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memory is our first Valentine’s Day. Tim spent 4 hours digging a giant heart into the snow. The next day, he surprised me with rose petals, candles, a blanket, and our favorite Panera order. I accidentally head-butted him, gave myself a bloody nose, and bled all over the brand-new blanket he got me… definitely ruining the romantic moment. What would you do with $20,000?

If we won $20,000, we’d first pay off our loans (thankfully they’re not too scary!). Then we’d save the rest to bless others, such as our Church who is still working on finding a building to call home. We’re both devoted Christians, and one of my favorite things about Tim is that when I say, “Let’s buy an extra meal for someone who needs it,” he never hesitates, he’s already pulling into the drive-thru. Getting to love people together is the greatest gift of all
