Our love was strong enough to withstand everything that should have pulled us apart.
We would like to thank you for supporting Tim and Gina Poe in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
2021 a year etched on my heart. Tim, 9 years my senior and a widower and myself with the worst track record in relationship history. A brief meeting at a local tavern while having a cocktail with a friend. He was that guy that made everyone laugh, including me and my life at the time was hardly anything to laugh about. Next a friend request on FB, then coffee on my deck after church, a ride on a motorcycle and FaceTime conversations that lasted hours. A friendship started and our story began.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Too many to chose from, but the day we married in the woods behind our home. A house we made a home together, from the floor to the ceiling we did it all. DIY projects became our past time and we just enjoyed being together. We grew so much as a couple during that time and our patience with one another surprises people. Surrounded by friends and family while we said our vows in a place created by us.
What would you do with $20,000?I share 5 granddaughters with Tim as him and his first wife Lisa never had children. These girls are beyond amazing! Two of them are 13, the others are 11, 7 and 4. They have all been affected by the absence of a parent due to addiction. They are brave, strong, smart and loved by us dearly. I would put most of the money aside for them to use on something special when they graduate from high school. Tim and I don't require much, but we've always talked about a weekend in the mountains.
