How did your love story begin?

My husband served in the Armed Forces. He was supposed to go to Korea to be stationed there. All his stuff was sent there already but at the last minute they sent him to Honduras. That is were I am from. I worked on the military base as a civilian and a mutual friend introduced us to each other so we could go on a double date with him and my friend. I was not looking for a boyfriend I just wanted to go with my friends but he brought my now husband along with him and here we are 38 years later.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our 25 anniversary. My husband took us on a romantic getaway to an island where we stayed at a hotel and in the same room that Tony Blaire, and Bono and Chuck Norris had stayed many times. So I always say that I sleep in the same bed as those famous people.

What would you do with $20,000?

We have 4 children and 3 grandchildren. I lost my dad last year and my mom a year later. They were together for almost 70 years. Our family had been through a lot emotionally in a year I would love to surprise my children and their families on a family gathering. My dad loved pictures so I will also hire a photographer to take some professional photos of our family to make great memories together. Life does not a garante a tomorrow so we have to make the most out of it every day and be together.
