Tim and I met after sudden loss of both of our spouses. A random FB message for friendship brought love we married May 4, 2026 at Niagara
We would like to thank you for supporting Tim and Amanda Ransum in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
Our Love story begin through loss. I reached out to him because I knew of him and that he was a good person. Most widows/widower I met and had talked to had lost spouses of over 40 years. While their loss was the same it was different. Tim was closer to my age. I wanted to know that I wasn't crazy. Grief is not an easy journey and honestly I wanted to know that I wasn't going crazy. I reached for friendship and understanding and was absolutely blessed with Tim.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? Our Love Story is my favorite. We both talked about things that we had wished that we could do. I mentioned Niagara Falls he mentioned a trip to Washington D.C. when he proposed we both said we wanted to elope. So we came up with a random idea of marrying at Niagara Falls in Canada and then traveling to D.C. after that. We completed some of our bucket lists together on our Honeymoon.
What would you do with $20,000?We are donating half of the money to a local charity called CSAF in our hometown who helps with families in need. The other half is for a dream vacation for the two of us.
