Connect How did your love story begin?

My friend Sandy and I decided to host a party. We invited Tim, who I hadn't met, and a few others - Mickey, Mickey's friend John, Mickey's girlfriend and my friend Crystal, who we thought might make a good match for Tim. Well John couldn't come because he had a blind date, nor could Crystal, who was going to keep an eye on her mom, who also had a blind date. Turns out, John's blind date was Crystal's mom and Mickey's girlfriend was Crystal! We had no idea! Tim and I fell in love that night. ❤️

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We have too many to count but one of them is our very first trip across the country. We had been dating less than a year when he flew us to Phoenix, we spent a week driving across AZ in an accidental red Spyder convertible, stopping at some amazing places on the way, including the Grand Canyon, and ending in Vegas. I had never been across the Mississippi before and it was glorious!

What would you do with $20,000?

The very first thing we would do is visit Scotland. We are in our mid 60s and it is the ONLY thing on our bucket list. After that, we would like to help our kids. With 7 of them and 17 grands, we've never been able to afford to do for them what their other parents and grandparents with far fewer of both can do. Maybe we could finally afford a family vacation! And a new roof!
