We’re stronger together. Outside influences tried to separate us, and never succeeded. We bring out the best in each other.
Help us share our love story in Variety, take home $20,000, and go on a triple date with Jeff & Emilie Goldblum and Charlie Day & Mary Elizabeth Ellis!
We were roommates that attended BYU (a school that won’t allow same-sex relationships). We started becoming friends and later developed feelings for each other, but things got a little more complicated. Tia and her best friend had a crush on Leah at the same time, but Leah only had feelings for Tia and decided to be with her. We became a couple but would soon find ourselves in another conflict. Tia’s family did not approve of us. Despite this, our love grew stronger and we are now happily married
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? Our favorite memory shared is when we reunited after summer apart. When Tia told her family about our relationship, they did not respond nicely and instead tried to force her to live with them and never see Leah again. Tia had no choice but to flee and live with her Aunt in Hawaii. Few months later, Tia returned and the two of us spent the rest of the summer in California. It was a beautiful time together, it felt like we could unapologetically be ourselves with no one to stop us.
What would you do with $20,000?We would use some of the $20,000 to donate to charities and the rest to fund fertility treatments for our future family.
