In elementary school, our best friends were siblings. Because we spent many weekends at the same house, this was the beginning of our friendship, including me (Alyssa) developing an innocent crush on Steven. We kept in touch throughout high school and college. Steven did 4 active years in the Army right after high school, then began attending the same college that I just graduated from. I was one of the only people Steven knew in town, he asked me to dinner... and the rest is history!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Last year, we took our dream vacation and did an Alaskan cruise. We had been saving up for that trip for years. Neither one of us had been on a fancy vacation like that, let alone a cruise, so it was a big deal for us. It was so special to experience that together. We are still riding the high of that trip a year later!
What would you do with $20,000?Our dog just had surgery to replace her torn ACL. We don't have human children, so we consider our dogs our children. She's only 7 years old, so we couldn't leave her with basically one operating back leg when she still has so many years left in her. It wasn't cheap, but we would do it all over again in a heartbeat. This money would help us pay that surgery bill off.
