Winter 2018, after passing by one another in the same rooms on multiple occasions, never noticing including her cousin (my friend) and my God-sister (her friend) telling us both years before that they wish we could be together because of the type of women we both are but we still did not know each others names, faces or existence. We found one another on our own. Our birthdays are a day apart, both have one child and are from the same neighborhood. There's more to it but this was pure fate!

Our wedding day is our favorite memory. We decided to get married in Chicago December 23, 2022. It was the coldest day of that year. Everything was shut down besides the courthouse. Once inside there was no judge available. My wife begin to cry while I continued to search around the courthouse. A security guard took action, called a judge personally on his cellphone. It's so much more but the judge married us via zoom. The judge cried stating this was the best ceremony she has ever given.

With $20,000.00 my wife and I would be a step closer to opening a Youth Homeless Shelter in Chicago Illinois. The shelter will provide services to youth between ages 16-24 (and their children). We will provide interim housing, drop-in services, and a comprehensive residential program for youth, regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, or gender identity. An essential drop-in center for unhoused youth that offers medical care, mental health counseling, and community resource connections.
