We went to high school together, but it wasn’t until 14 years later (2019) when Bobby reached out to Ally via social media randomly to chat. Conversation flowed easily and they decided to grab brunch, where Ally was unaware they were on a date and proceeded to talk about guys she had been dating. Bobby eventually told her they were on a date and even kissed her after her obliviousness. They made a day of things and Bobby invited Ally to watch him play hockey, and even meet his friends afterward.

When we read this question, we both immediately said, “Our wedding.” It was a bit unconventional, what with the bride in a black dress and our officiant dressed as the bishop from the movie “The Princess Bride,” and our Bernese mountain dog escorting the groom down the aisle. We are a couple of 2000s emo kids who wanted to make our wedding look and feel like us, so we went with dark and moody in a tavern, a whiskey tasting in a mining cave, and we headbanged to our first dance.

We’d love to buy a bigger vehicle to fit more Bernese mountain dogs! Ally entered Bobby’s relationship with his first Berner, Teddy, and we now have Bernadette. They are truly the most wonderful dogs and make our hearts so full. We would also plan our next trip. We absolutely love traveling together. Bobby proposed in Ireland, where we’ve been twice. We’ve gone to Mexico, Vancouver, Alaska, Hawaii, Chicago, Italy, and most recently, Portugal, where Ally’s family came from a few generations ago.
