We met online in the early days of computer dating. I had a free month offer on a site and met my wife, Laura, at the very end. I paid for an extra month to keep talking with her. I couldn’t figure out how to upload my picture so she asked what star I most resemble. I said Jeff Goldbloom; a stretch but it worked. We met in person at the Hatch Shell in Boston for a free movie in the park, Pirates of the Caribbean. We held hands as we walked her back to her dorm. love at first sight.

Probably vacations on the Cape Cod National seashore and camping trips in the Pacific Northwest rank high. Also camping and kayaking on the Buffalo River, the Bay of Fundie, and Lake Tahoe are some very fond memories. I’m a choir director and organist and my wife is the principal cantor and so we are able to work, worship, and make music together. It’s wonderful to be partners in so many areas. Our greatest memories are traveling, enjoying nature, and making music together.

We would put money down on a house. The high cost housing market in Carson City has kept us out of buying in the area but we want to settle down. I teach music and run a local nonprofit theatre and voice program for youth and adults and my wife is clinical director at a rehabilitation center for sex- trafficked teens. We want to make a difference but finances can be a struggle in this area of Tahoe on the California border.
