How did your love story begin?

Plot twist: I was just in Raleigh visiting my cousin, had zero plans of meeting my future husband, and yet here we are 5 years later, married 3 of them. He's a 6-foot introvert, I'm a short extrovert who talks enough for both of us, and somehow we just. stuck. Like Raleigh humidity, but in a good way. He lets me drag him to things, I let him recharge in silence for 45 minutes after, and it's been a perfect system ever since. Vote for the couple who met by total accident and never left.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memory? Scuba diving in Barbados while we were dating my tank decided to stage a great escape and started sliding off my back mid-dive. I was mildly concerned. Nick, on the other hand, fully entered "this is how I lose the love of my life" mode. That night he confessed he was terrified and realized he couldn't live without me all because my gear had a wardrobe malfunction underwater. Six months later, we were married. Nothing says "I love you" quite like a near-death scuba moment.

What would you do with $20,000?

If we won $20,000, it would go straight toward something Nick has dreamed about for years, a trip to Japan. He loves everything about Japanese culture, food, and history, and he's never quite gotten the chance to go. He spends so much time giving to everyone else that I'd love nothing more than to finally give him the trip he deserves and watch his face when he's standing in the middle of Tokyo for the first time.
