Our love story started on Bumble, which is funny because we lived minutes apart and shared countless mutual friends but had somehow never met. After I messaged him, I made him wait nearly a month for a first date and canceled more than once. Most people would've walked away, but he didn't. He showed up with patience, humor, and confidence. By our second date, I called my mom and said, "I think I found my forever." Turns out I was right.

Our favorite memory is our America-themed backyard wedding during COVID. We invited guests to wear red, white, and blue and even created matching wristbands to signal everyone's comfort level with hugs and social distancing. It was equal parts heartfelt and hilarious. We celebrated on our 6-acre "swamp" surrounded by the people we love most, shared speeches from our rooftop, and found a way to create joy during a difficult time. It perfectly captured who we are—fun, resilient, and full of love.

My husband spent years supporting me— my career as a couples and sex therapist, supporting the aftermath of my autism diagnosis, and struggle to maintain pregnancies. If we won, we'd use the money to invest in his dream. He's exploring becoming an entrepreneur, and this prize would give him the freedom to pursue work he's passionate about without the fear of setting his family back financially.
