How did your love story begin?

We met in Kindergarten and went to school together through high school. We never officially “dated,” but always liked each other. My 1980s unicorn notebooks are filled with drawings of Andrew and me, lots of babies, yachts and pagodas (apparently I had a plan! 😂 ) I still have the friendship bracelet he gave me, which I recently gave to our daughter. After college, we married and moved to Chicago.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One favorite memory is becoming parents to our daughter. When my water broke, Andrew decided to finally read the parenting books I’d given him nine months earlier, we almost didn’t make it to the hospital! 😂 Our room became a party with the doctors and nurses because we believe friends can be everywhere. That first night, neither of us had been around babies. We were clueless, in love and laughing. Good news: our daughter survived! ❤️

What would you do with $20,000?

Winning would make our 20th anniversary unforgettable! We’d purchase a Chicago Dedicated Bench through the Chicago Park Foundation near our beloved Buckingham Fountain, where we’ve shared so many memories. We love the thought of creating a place where others can pause, enjoy the fountain and make memories of their own. With the remaining winnings, we’d celebrate with family and friends. After 20 years, it’s all about love, memories and sharing joy. Thanks for the entry!
