John and I met in high school. He drove me to school, and we were on the same sports teams. We began dating my senior year after John joined the Navy submarine force. He took me to my senior prom in his dress whites. We were married in the middle of my sophomore year of college following a deployment. I finished the semester and moved to CT to be with him. Even though he was deployed 90% of the year, we had a wonderful time together and continue to do so!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We have many favorite memories together. Our wedding, the birth of our daughter, reunions after deployment, my graduation from my PhD program, buying our first house, moving across country during COVID... the list goes on. One wonderful memory that continues to bring us joy comes from our honeymoon. We said "being married to you is so amazing. It will never get old, even if we do." 20 years later... still not old :)
What would you do with $20,000?We would go on a second honeymoon and add to our daughter's college fund.
