We met in 1999 when I was 15, and Chris was 16. I had short, spiky hair back then, and Chris drove a 1970s muscle car. We went to different schools. His best friend was dating my best friend, so they decided to introduce us. “I have this boy you should meet,” said my friend. I had no interest and said, “no thanks.” But then she told me he drove a muscle car. I knew I at least needed a ride in it! We’ve been inseparable ever since. We are total opposites, but we click in so many ways.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Easily the birth of our daughter. She was born 9 months after the death of my brother. If my brother ever had a daughter, he said he would name her Piper, so since he passed away without having children, we named our daughter Piper in his honor. We tell her, “Your Uncle Bo named you.” They are so much alike.
What would you do with $20,000?We would take an EPIC second honeymoon for our 20th wedding anniversary. Since 2007, we haven’t traveled anywhere just the two of us that wasn’t within driving distance. I work as a school teacher, and he’s a part time TV station worker/local actor. We’ve never been in a position to spend a lot of money on a trip. It would be a dream to celebrate our love with an extravagant trip!
