Connect How did your love story begin?

Once upon a time I was a bartender that drank too much, I asked a stranger to drive me home and handed him my keys to my car. I had no idea who he was, just that he was kind looking. He drove me home, and slept on my sofa. The next day, I took him to a friends house before taking him home- I was embarrassed I didn’t know his name. She asked him. He kept showing up to my work and it made me feel awkward so I quit. I ran him to this guy time and again- it had to be meant to be, right?

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

As a couple we have given our lives to serving others. As a couple we leaped into serving the homeless and have single handedly fed over thousands of people out of our own pockets and worked to include children and friends to assist. We have done so much for so many. Of course, the birth of our son was the best moment, but it was always watching him love my daughter and then my nephew like his own. Our home has been the place where we care and see our love ones off to heaven.

What would you do with $20,000?

As amazing as our lives have been and how proud we are of all we have done life takes a toll and sickness you just cannot escape. Kelly has stage 4 reoccurring ovarian cancer that has metastasized to her spine, liver and lungs. We are struggling to keep up financially as Kelly had to quit working to go through radiation, chemo and immunotherapy. This money would be used for medical bills, and final expenses should things not make a turn for the better. Plus a trip- we need a trip.
