Connect How did your love story begin?

Our story began on a dating app with a bad knock-knock joke. Eric was working a construction job out of state and Caitlin was teaching preschool. When Eric was back home visiting for a weekend, we matched! After a few weeks of talking, we went on our first date.. and spent the weekends that followed coordinating ways to maximize time together - with Eric driving 4+ hours very early on Monday mornings to get back to his job site so we could spend one less night apart.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

On one of our early adventures together, we found ourselves pulling up late to a campsite. We set up our tent in quiet darkness, only illuminated by our headlamps, trying not to disturb the other campers nearby. Once we settled into our tent, we spent the next few hours in stifled laughter as we ate melted candy bars and drew strange cartoons from memory on post-it notes Caitlin had in her bag.

What would you do with $20,000?

We have created so many amazing memories together and recently started a new chapter by purchasing a house in the city where our story began! Over the next few years, we hope to start a family and would put the prize money toward welcoming a new set of tiny footprints into our lives to truly make our house a home!
