We met through a shared best friend who suggested that we might hit it off! We spent our first real date together at our local dive bar (shout out to Eli’s in Oakland) talking all night about our philosophies on life. We both share a love of Camus and all things absurdism! We just knew instantly that we’d be together forever.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our wedding day was the absolute best day of both our lives! We surprised everyone at a family reunion in Myrtle Beach and invited folks on to the beach at 9am one morning. We had an arch and chairs all set up for the unsuspecting guests! It was close to 100 degrees, but everyone showed up and celebrated our everlasting love!
What would you do with $20,000?We would continue to build our homestead in Durham, North Carolina where we live with our four cats and five chickens! You’re allowed two pigs per household in Durham — or two Nigerian dwarf goats! We still don’t know which path to choose, but this money would help us to build a pen and shelter so that we could adopt and rescue farm animals. We deeply love our home that was built in 1901… it could really use some renovating! We would continue to pour so much love into our sanctuary!
