Connect How did your love story begin?

What happens when a college guy from Louisiana and a girl from Washington both take a summer job in Western Massachusetts? A love story 2,500 miles in the making! We met in 2003 on the shores of Center Lake—Nick was a basketball coach, Laura was in the office, and the spark was instant. Three camp seasons turned into a lifetime teammate connection. This year, we’re celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary, proving that what happens at summer camp doesn't always stay at summer camp!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our happy place is spending summers off (both educators) camping in national parks and scouting out local craft breweries. But our absolute favorite memory? Hiking The Narrows in Zion National Park. Wading through a rushing river flanked by thousand-foot canyon walls was breathtaking, exhausting, and unforgettable. It perfectly sums us up: conquering a wild adventure hand-in-hand as a team, and celebrating with a great beer afterward. Hands down the best experience of our 20 years together!

What would you do with $20,000?

If we win, $20k goes straight to the bucket list: 1. Traveling to Paris to shout "Who Dat!" at the Saints game in October. 2. Doing Disneyland in style. 3. Trading a tent floor for a plush hotel bed for a night (or two). 4. Saved the best for last - saving our sanity by getting our wild 5-year-old doodle some serious dog training. It’s the perfect blend of football, Mickey Mouse, thread counts, and a dog that actually listens to us. Let’s make it happen!
