How did your love story begin?

Community theater! I did his makeup for his first show. I was 19 and he was 22. I'm a techie and he's an actor. We were friends for 4 years before we were able to start seeing each other as we both flip-flopped in/out of relationships with other people. It took 4 years for us to both be single at the same time and "the rest is history" now.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our first night drive together. We go on these "night drives" when we're feeling overwhelmed. The best of these drives are when we don't really have a destination in mind, the windows are down and the heat is slightly on, there's good tunes, and we spend most of the time just being together. Our first one happened spontaneously, when we were just starting to test the waters from friendship to romance. It was calm and peaceful and the source of a handful of inside jokes now.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would get married (the way we want to) and officially become The Meanstones! We want to elope in Scotland, on a hike, with a moody "main character" moment photoshoot. We also want to hire a videographer so we can play the short film of our elopement before our delayed reception. For our delayed reception, we want to rent the outdoor screen at our favorite indie theater and watch The Princess Bride with our loved ones. Then we'll go across the street to the roller rink for our after party.
