How did your love story begin?

I was 16 and in high school when a friend on the bus mentioned him. I looked him up on Facebook, took a chance, and messaged, “Hey, I think you’re cute. We should talk.” We’ve been inseparable ever since. Everyone told me from the beginning that we’d never make it, but we worked hard and proved them wrong. Thirteen years later, people still ask how we made it so young. It’s simple, we choose each other every day and stick together through it all.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

When we first got together, he talked me into going frog gigging with him late one night. It was pitch dark and we only had one headlamp, which he was wearing. Suddenly we spotted a huge snapping turtle in the water. He tried to pick it up, but it whipped around and tried to bite him, so he dropped it and took off running. He left me standing there alone in complete darkness with a snapping turtle on the loose! I still laugh every time I think about it.

What would you do with $20,000?

It would be truly life changing to wake up debt-free, knowing we can give our children the childhood they deserve. barefoot adventures, wide-open skies, and roots planted deep in the country. We long to own a little piece of land where our kids can grow wild and free, chasing fireflies and dreams under starlit nights. A life full of beautiful surprises, where we slow down, hold each other closer, and truly live together, as a family, writing our own love story one peaceful morning at a time.
