Connect How did your love story begin?

We met through an online alumni forum for our overseas high school, where many students had military-affiliated families. Funny enough, I had been friends with Erik’s sister in high school but never knew Erik. As we got to know each other, we discovered we were loyal fans of rival professional sports teams, which became a fun source of banter throughout our relationship. Our kids joke that our relationship was built on sports tension. Despite living 1800 miles apart,we decided we were worth it!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Traveling together is one of our favorite things, whether it's a spontaneous road trip or a trip abroad. We always choose the back roads over the interstate, just to see it all. We love discovering new cultures, trying incredible food, and meeting amazing people along the way, all with our shared playlists as the soundtrack. Every adventure brings something unforgettable, and we're truly each other's favorite travel buddy, always curious and ready for what's next.

What would you do with $20,000?

If we won $20,000, we would use it to bring our big blended family together for an unforgettable vacation. Our kids are all grown up now, with partners and some with children of their own, which means coordinating a family trip takes a lot more planning and a lot more money than it did years ago! We would love to treat everyone to an adventure together,filled with laughter, stories, and quality time. There is nothing we enjoy more than having all our favorite people in one place making memories.
