Jeff was serving in Iraq when he was scrolling MySpace looking for people to talk to back home. He saw my profile which had a pic of my toddler son with a mohawk asleep on the toilet, and struck up a conversation. We met when he got home from deployment as friends, not seeking a relationship. But we couldn’t stay apart after, and got married a few months later (even though neither of us originally had plans in that direction). 19 years later...seems like a good decision.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?I have so many, but here's a recent one: We have a thing where we "get married" every day (one of us proposes and then we both say I do). At my nephew's wedding a year ago, he arranged for a surprise vow renewal with the pastor so we could get married that day in a more special way. It was totally unexpected and my heart just melted. Well, honestly, I think everyone's did, lol.
What would you do with $20,000?I would live off of it, lol. I'm recently disabled and fighting to get disability since I had to leave my job, so finances are tough. $20,000 would sustain us a bit longer until it's all sorted. Is that too serious? Because all seriousness aside, I'd love to blow it on a real honeymoon!
