How did your love story begin?

We met LARPing in 1995; that’s Live Action Role Playing for those who don’t know. I played a rogue type character, and so did he. I, as my character, recruited him as his character to the in game Thieves Guild. Over time, our in game partnership turned into an out of game friendship. That turned into a romance! We started as co-conspirators in the game setting, and ended up partners in life. We still LARP regularly, and we’ve had some pretty wild adventures together!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

There are so many awesome memories over the last nearly three decades, but to stay on theme, one of our favorite memories is bringing our kids to LARP with us for the first time. To see them join in the fun and adventure was thrilling. To see our daughters grow in confidence and spread their creative wings was a joy! That was just the first of many awesome memories we as a family created together while hanging out in elaborate costumes and role playing as heroes and adventurers.

What would you do with $20,000?

We have a beautiful home together. If we won the $20,000 we would probably fix all the little things that need replacing or repairing. Hopefully, we’d have enough after that to invest in having more fun together as a family! Besides LARPing, we like real life adventures as well in the form of traveling to new places, both domestic and abroad. There are LARP games all over the country and in many other countries. Who knows, maybe we would even check one of them out together!
