How did your love story begin?

We met on New Year’s Eve 2017 at Crystal Mountain. I saw Kim leaning against a pool table, but only from behind. I told my friend, “I have to talk to that girl.” When he asked if I even knew what she looked like, I said, “Nope, something is telling me I have to.” We spent the rest of the night together, stayed in touch, and eight months later started dating. We later got engaged and married at Crystal Mountain.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We've traveled to several countries, attended countless football (soccer) matches—including the World Cup—and skied many mountains together. Any one of those experiences could be considered a favorite memory, but it feels impossible to choose just one without overlooking so many others. When we look back on everything we've done, we're amazed by how many incredible moments we've shared. More than the destinations or events themselves, what means the most is that we experienced them together.

What would you do with $20,000?

As we've grown together, my mission has evolved. I want to work hard so Kim can retire early and spend more time doing what she loves most: helping animals and giving back. If we won the $20,000, we'd invest some of it for our future, but we'd also use part of it to take one or two volunteer trips to nature and wildlife reserves. While our long-term goal is to make these experiences a regular part of our lives, giving Kim that opportunity now would mean the world to both of us.
