We met as children at church, attending choir rehearsal, Sunday school, and worship services together. By age 12, we looked forward to seeing each other every Sunday. We dated as teenagers, remained friends through different schools, and reconnected years later in a Walmart parking lot. That second chance led to marriage, children, and now a granddaughter. Through every season, our friendship, faith, and commitment to one another have remained the foundation of our love story.

Our favorite memory as a couple was our first trip as empty nesters to Hilton Head, South Carolina. During Thanksgiving, we attended a community dinner, met wonderful people, and enjoyed the simple joy of being together. After years of focusing on raising our children, this trip marked the beginning of a new chapter—traveling, exploring, and creating memories just for us. It reminded us that while we loved being parents, we also loved being best friends.
