Connect How did your love story begin?

In 2018 i lost my bestfriend to suicide, struck by grief, i heavily isolated. I used dating apps to find friends and connection, I downloaded OkCupid on a whim. Within the first hour I saw his photo, the brightest smile with the kindest eyes. Beautifully groomed beard, long wavy hair, I swiped right so quickly and when it didnt match I went to bed. When I woke up, he had matched and sent me a message exclaiming his surprise at the fact I already swiped right on him. We talked nonstop after that.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

The day we met. After talking nonstop for 2 weeks, we couldn't wait to meet any longer. He lived in Washington and I was in Oregon, he was over an hour away but he made the drive to my house to meet. It was a whirlwind. We drove around my home town telling stories and talking, we got so lost in eachother he didnt end up leaving for home until 5am the next day. He kissed me and asked me to be his girlfriend. Once I shut the front door, my head was spinning, I felt euphoric for the first time ever

What would you do with $20,000?

When we met, he was the main caregiver for his mother with Parkinsons, and I was the caregiver of my household. After many obstacles over the last 7 years we havent been able to start building our life together. There have been hardships and surgeries, this could help us get married and start saving for our future. Id love to take him on vacation, pay off our bills and spoil our animals we have together. He pulled me out of the darkest point of my life, he is the light I never knew I needed.
