We met at Left Bank books in the city! I love to read and so does Langston. I was holding a book by Langston Hughes and this handsome guy( Langston) walked over to introduce himself. He had been watching me since I walked in the bookstore. We exchange numbers in early January of 1996! 2 weeks later I went to a club and he approached me again & reintroduced himself. I told him I hadn’t call him because I had just returned from a trip with friends. He had so much swag! I found him exciting!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?My favorite memory as a couple is the day we were married! We married at the courthouse and I had on a dress I wore as an usher at my friend’s wedding 2 years before. He told me I looked beautiful. He looked so handsome in his suit. I was 27 and he was 23 and in his 2nd year of medical school. When he said “I do” my heart melted. I knew he would love me forever and we were meant to be!
What would you do with $20,000?Our 30th anniversary is August 21, 2026! I would love to renew our vows in front of friends and family. The $ 20,000 would be the perfect gift to us! To be married at the St. Louis Botanical garden is a dream of mine. The money would assist us in a dream wedding we never had!
