How did your love story begin?

We started off as friends and co-workers, both teachers at a local high school. We had many commonalities and similar past experiences with previous marriages that did not work out. He swears I tricked him into asking me out, but I think we both know we were interested in getting to know more about each other outside of the workplace. It was a very natural progression from friends, to more than friends, to falling in love. Even though he said it first, I think I was thinking it first.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

It’s hard to say because we have so many. I think our favorite memories will always be traveling together to new and exciting destinations. We are always up for adventure and even spent three days and nights of our honeymoon on horseback in the Canadian Rockies. Our greatest adventure is sharing our families, children, and grandchildren with each other. We both value the importance of family and the bonds we share with friends as well who become like family to us.

What would you do with $20,000?

We just bought “our home” together and look forward to growing old there together. However, the master bathroom is in desperate need of a remodel. I think if we won the money, we would use it to make our home our dream home that we could enjoy for years to come. We tend not to splurge on ourselves very much so this would be an opportunity to create a special retreat just for us.
