Connect How did your love story begin?

Anthony and I met on MySpace in December 2009. Ironically, we were the complete opposite of what each other thought we wanted in a partner. Our first date was a movie, and neither of us expected there to be a second. A few weeks later, we gave it another chance, and everything changed. We became inseparable. Sixteen years later, we are still choosing each other every day. Through life’s highs and lows, we’ve built a marriage rooted in love, trust, resilience, and commitment.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Without question, our favorite memory is the day our son Preston was born. Becoming fathers together was a dream come true. As a same-sex couple, our path to parenthood came with unique challenges, making that moment even more meaningful. Holding our son for the first time filled us with overwhelming joy, gratitude, and love. Nine years later, that memory still brings tears to our eyes. Watching Preston grow has been the greatest adventure and blessing of our lives.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would use the $20,000 to help fund the adoption of our second child. Preston, now 9 years old, talks often about wanting to be a big brother, and our hearts are ready to grow our family again. Adoption is a beautiful but expensive journey, and this support would help cover agency fees, legal expenses, home study costs, and travel. More than anything, it would bring us one step closer to giving another child a loving, stable, and supportive forever home.
