We first met at Senior High Camp in 2022 after Nathan moved to Bloomington for work with State Farm.Friends introduced us, and I only remembered thinking he and his sister, Ava, were hilarious.We crossed paths at Hyphen events for two years, but I barely remembered him. At Illinois Youth Convention 2024, I asked him for a ride and his sparkling energy drink.We bonded over Bible trivia on the drive, and two days later he messaged me asking me to coffee.That simple invitation became the beginning.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory together was our traditional Congolese wedding ceremony. It was a beautiful day overflowing with love, laughter, and the joy of bringing our families together. Watching two families and two cultures unite to celebrate our marriage made the day unforgettable. It wasn't just the beginning of our life together—it was a celebration of the people, traditions, and love that shaped us.
