We grew up in the same town, attended the same church, but didn’t notice each other til a youth group New Year’s Eve lock-in. Steve and his best friend were both trying to win Rhoda’s heart. She chose the goofier one (there was no hard feelings between friends), and dated for five and a half years before getting engaged at the top of the John Handcock building in Chicago. Many songs were composed and performed about Rhoda along the way.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We love to travel. But the best, most beautiful, most difficult experience was hiking the Tongariro Crossing in New Zealand. We couldn’t help but get closer as leaned on each other (literally) to finish. Walking next to an active volcano that erupted the next day was unbelievable too!
What would you do with $20,000?It all starts with giving our first fruits to God, then take our boys on a Disney Cruise, put some towards their college fund, and invest the rest!
