Our love story began during undergrad at Old Dominion University. We met at the gym through a mutual friend and ended up on opposite sides of a badminton court. I'm extremely competitive, so naturally I was determined to win. Looking back, I think Austin was already falling for me because he kept trying to help my team. What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One of my favorite memories is our trip to Red Rocks to see Vance Joy. I planned the whole trip, but everything went wrong. A huge rainstorm rolled in, there was lightning, we got soaked, and the concert was canceled early. While I was disappointed, Austin just laughed and said, “I’m having such a great time with you.” In that moment, I knew I had picked the right person. Even when plans fall apart, he always finds the joy in being together.

What would you do with $20,000?

While we're planning our wedding, we'd use $20,000 toward a down payment on our first home. We'd love to celebrate with a simple backyard wedding and housewarming surrounded by family and friends. After 10 years together, we're still broke college kids at heart, and a little goes a long way for us. This opportunity would give us the head start we need to build our future together and create a place to call home.
