13 years ago, a song came on the radio that changed two lives forever. "Try" by P!nk encouraged me to audition for the Shakespearean production at my university, where Justin and I were both cast. At read-through, Justin walked into the room and my heart stopped. I wanted him to sit by me SO bad! He didn't. When he read his lines with the Mayor of Powerpuff Girls impression, I swooned. I played the kid game MASH that night not knowing his name. MASH said I'd marry "That Tall Redhead". I did.

Aside from the major life moments (wedding and the birth of our two kiddos), our favorite memory is our "Babymoon" drive from Arkansas to LA. 24 hours both ways and we didn't run out of things to talk about. We stayed overnight in Albuquerque because we're both Weird Al fans. In LA, we got to go on a game show and I knew everything would be ok because I found a dime in the parking lot. Dimes are my good luck charm! We got chosen and even won a little money for a down payment on our first home!

Some people have a dream their whole life and never get to see it come true. Justin and I have been working on creating an animated series for 5 years now. We are both theatre kids, Justin is a theatre teacher and I am disabled and working on a second degree, this time in Animation. $20k would go a long way into helping us turn our dream into a reality, and showing our kids that you can chase your dreams at any age or under any circumstances.
