We were friends and coworkers for two years before dating and are now planning the rest of our lives. Everyone knew before we did and helped
We would like to thank you for supporting The (future) Cervantes in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
After getting hired at an ad agency in Miami, I met Rob and struck up a close friendship. We sat next to each other, ate lunch together, hung out on weekends together - all as close friends for 2 years. Even our boss once approached me to say that there were no rules against coworkers dating if they ever wanted to make it known. It wasn’t until Rob changed jobs and we were no longer spending full days together that we realized our feelings and missing each other was more than just friendship.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Rob and I both worked remotely for all of 2024. We used that time to live as digital nomads. We left Miami and explored South America for a full year. We spent 1-2 months in different countries (Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, etc., even Easter Island in Chile) and lived out the greatest adventure of our lives, together. Traveling has brought us closer and living a year away alone, away from family and friends, proved that we are each other’s favorite people and can get through anything.
What would you do with $20,000?We live in an apartment in Miami right now, and $20,000 would help us put a down payment on our future forever home. We look forward to finding a place where we can start our family, create more special memories, and live out our lives happily ever after.
