Connect How did your love story begin?

I’m a hairstylist, and my boss secretly booked Luke a haircut for 10:00 on a Friday… then casually told me at 9:55. I was shaking. He walked in, I cut his hair very nervously, and somehow that appointment changed both of our lives. From that first conversation, everything just felt easy. We became best friends first, and falling in love was the most natural part!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our first date. I told him I didn’t want the usual dinner date—I wanted to ride dirt roads. Around here, that’s how you really get to know someone. We spent hours talking, listening to music, laughing, and watching the sun go down. It was simple, comfortable, and completely us. That night showed me love doesn’t have to be complicated when you’re with the right one.I think people get so caught up in what youre supposed to do in the beginning of a relationship when it should just be easy and fun!

What would you do with $20,000?

We both recently moved back home after living in different states, so we’re starting over together. We’d use the money as a down payment on our first home—a place to cook dinner together, drink coffee on the porch, and build the little everyday life we’ve been dreaming about. And if Luke wanted to save a little for an engagement ring… I definitely wouldn’t complain. I cannot wait to marry this man!
