She, with one click of the mouse, picked me - her first attempt at online dating - and the rest, as they say, is history. We met at a restaurant bar somewhere between both our locations on Long Island. She's a north shore girl; I'm a south shore dude. She wore a poncho - to hide the goods; me, a Barney purple plaid shirt. I didn't impress... at first...
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?That would have to be our pan-Europe trip which culminated in a visit to our ancestral homes in Ireland, Hungary and Greece. Yes, believe it or not, we both share the same heritage. Don't worry. We did 23AndMe, and there's no genetic connection. We were both brought to tears meeting distant relatives while visiting our grandfathers' home villages on the island of Andros (her) and Evia (me). And don't even ask about Kathy catching the bouquet at my Magyar cousin's wedding in Budapest. WHAAAT?!
What would you do with $20,000?50% goes to Canine Companions. Kathy would give it all to the dogs. She volunteers there once a week. It's just what she does. BUT: I'm currently still driving my Dad's old 98 Honda Accord with 150,000 miles and in need of an upgrade. So, maybe...But... Also maybe is World Central Kitchen. I can keep driving this car it means feeding a starving child.
