Met in an elevator, best friends for 16 years, together 10, married 5. We love travel, concerts, adventures, and life together.
Help us share our love story in Variety, take home $20,000, and go on a triple date with Jeff & Emilie Goldblum and Charlie Day & Mary Elizabeth Ellis!
We met in the most unexpected place, an elevator. During his senior-year college basketball tournament, I was working the event and stationed at the elevator. After winning MVP and finishing his interviews, he was the last person to leave the arena floor. When he stepped into the elevator, we locked eyes and smiled. As he exited, he turned back and said, “Have a good night.” I found him on Facebook that evening, sent a friend request, and the rest is history.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? One of our favorite memories was off-roading in the Tennessee mountains. The day was rainy and overcast, with low-hanging clouds covering the landscape. As we climbed higher, we drove straight into the clouds, creating a view that felt almost unreal. When we reached the summit, we stopped for lunch surrounded by nothing but mist and mountain peaks. Sharing that quiet moment together above the clouds was breathtaking and remains one of our most unforgettable adventures.
What would you do with $20,000?Cancer has impacted both of our families, with parents on each side facing this disease. If we win $20,000, we would donate a portion to cancer research in honor of those affected and to help advance future treatments. We would also invest in the mental health support app we're developing to make resources and support more accessible to those in need. For us, this opportunity is about creating hope, healing, and a lasting impact for others.
